The Resurrection
The Resurrection

It is Written.....

"...For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth; And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God."

(Job 19:25-26).

It is Written.....

"...And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt."

(Daniel 12:2)

It is Written.....

"...Verily, Verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the Voice of the Son of God; And they that hear shall live. Marvel not at this; for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear His Voice, And shall come forth: they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."
(John 5:25,28-29).

It is Written.....

"...For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the Voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

(1st. Thess. 4:16-17)

As with the Second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, so also the Resurrection of the dead - it is a cherished hope of all believers. The Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, testify of the Resurrection of the dead. All nature speaks of Resurrection. The setting and rising again of the sun speaks of Resurrection. The Autumn dying of flowers and falling of the leaves versus the spring rebirth of the flowers and trees - all speak of the Resurrection. The healing of the body also speaks of Resurrection.

Without a doubt, there will be a Resurrection of the dead. Once we accept the fact of the Resurrection then we are caused to ponder the question of: "How will the Resurrection take place?" For generations, man has search the Scriptures through and through, endeavouring to understand the mystery, but it was hid from their eyes.

When Daniel sought to understand these things, he was instructed to "seal the book".
It is Written.....

"...shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end; Go thy way, Daniel; for the words are closed up and sealed til the time of the end."

(Daniel 12:4,9)

When John heard the Voices of the Seven Thunders speak forth and explain the mystery of God, he was about to write it down, when, like Daniel, he was instructed to "seal it up".
It is Written.....

"...And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write; and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not... But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to His servants, the prophets."

(Revelation 10:4,7)

Therefore according to these passages of Scripture the mysteries of God were to be revealed in the last days. And according to Rev. 10:7 we are to receive a messenger in the last days to 'finish the mystery' of God. The understanding of the Second Coming, the Resurrection and the Catching Away, is a part of that Mystery. They didn't need to understand these things in the days of Daniel, Paul or John, BUT this 'end-time' generation is in need of these things. This is the generation that requires 'faith' to be caught away, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye.

Of course there are other Scritpures which speak of a Messenger to come in the last days to "restore all things". Malachi 4:5-6 speaks of two comings of the Elijah-type ministry - one to introduce the "First" Coming of Christ; and a second to introduce the "Second" Coming of Christ. Also, Jesus, in Matthew 17:11 spoke of the coming of an Elijah ministry to restore all things. From time to time we will add to this page. More material on the Resurrection will be found throughout this Web Site.
