Following A Man???.

The Bible says.....

He sent a man before them, [even] Joseph, [who] was sold for a servant:                                                                              Psalms 105:17.

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land...            Ezek. 22:30.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.         John 1:6.

"...for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.                           Acts 13:41.

All down through the ages the children of God have always followed 'a man' - never 'men' but just 'a man'. Not just any man, but a man of God's choosing. To say that an individual or a group of individuals is "following a man" is no indication that they are in error or off the beaten track. If the 'man' they follow is following God and His instructions, then they are in the perfect will of God.

Remember the words of Paul, the Apostle to the Gentiles:

"Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ."                               1st. Corinthians 4:16; 11:1.

Since the fall of man into sin, God always has and always will communicate His Word and Will TO man THROUGH a man. It was Abel bearing witness to Cain; Noah bearing witness to his generation; Abraham bearing witness to his generation and all followed in the footsteps of their faith. Moses and Joshua were men singularly used of God. Even AFTER God had given His Word to Israel in the form of the Ten Commandments He still sent prophets like Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, etc. (with a message) to bring Israel back to the original Word from which they had drifted. After the passing of the Messenger for their particular Age, the people always drifted into "doing what was right in their own eyes". Judges 17:6

Whether under the dispensation of the Law or Grace God still sends His special messengers to bring the people the back to the measure of the original Word for a particular Age - men like Paul, Luther, Huss, Knox, Wesley and William Branham. God does not change His pattern. He may choose to speak to that 'man' by Spiritual Revelation of the Word directly to his heart; He may chose to speak to him directly - lip to ear, by an 'open vision ministry' or He may send an Angel to that 'man'.

Many times the Bible says, "The Word of the Lord came to.....the prophet...". The existence of the Bible is the result of God using 'a man'; not a group of men - but 'a man'. The Bible says in Psalms 68:11, "The Lord gave the word: great [was] the company of those that published [it]." According to His pattern He gave that Word through 'a man', one man; the man conveyed it to mankind, who, receiving It from God's chosen vessel, and believing it, published it abroad - great was the company of those that published it.

The Bible and history confirms God's pattern of separating one man from among men to take His Message for 'the Age' to that generation. Paul was so positive of his calling, as an Apostle to the Gentiles that he boldly declared to his generation, "Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ." I Corinthians 4:16; 11:1.. Our responsibility is to recognize God's servant's, respect them and receive the message they bring. We're exhorted and warned to always "check the Message with the original Word".

Of course Satan also uses man - impersonators of the Truth. But to make sure that we're not deceived the Bible exhorts us to try the spirit (of the man) to make sure that he is of God or sent by God. HOW do we try the spirits of the many who profess to be sent by God? We bring them and their testimony before the Judgment Seat of Christ which is the Word - Judge all things by the Word. If the man shows a "sign" make sure it's a Scriptural sign - not only must it be in Scripture but it must be promised for the Age in which we live - certain "signs" identify certain times and seasons on God's calendar.

Also, judge the "voice" of the "sign(s)" (Exodus 4:8) - is it a Scriptural Voice? What the Voice says must be in the Word. The Message will bring the people closer to God causing them to "line up" with God's Word for the Age. It will definitely separate the True Believer from the world and the things of the world, to become a peculiar people unto the Lord - a life that declares "Holiness unto the Lord".

Because of our recognition and testimony of what God has done in and through the life and ministry of William M. Branham many accuse us of following a man. WHY? Because, as stated above, they are themselves in error, failing to recognize God's pattern. A long discourse indeed could be written on the subject of "God's Pattern" in dealing with mankind through the ages; but suffice it to say that from Genesis to the Book of Revelation, we find God using "a" man to minister to mankind. Also, down through the last Seven Church Ages, in His dealings with the Gentiles, God has used "a" particular man in every age.

In the Old Testament Cain would have done well to have followed Abel and his example - he would have been accepted. Ishmael would have done well to follow Isaac instead of persecuting him. The Children of Israel would have done well if they followed Elijah instead of rejecting his ministry. The Pharisees would have done well if they had followed the First Forerunner, John the Baptist and his ministry - it would have led them to a clear understanding of the Messiah.

In the New Testament The Ephesian Age (Revelation 2) would have done well to have stayed with Paul's Message and not leave their "first love" to give place to the "Deeds of the Nicolaitanes" which thing God hated (Rev. 2:6). In the Sardis Age (Rev. 3:1) the Roman Catholic Church would have done well not to have rejected the Message of Martin Luther. ALL churches in general would have done well not to have rejected the Message of John Wesley. In this last age, the Pentecostal church especially, would have done well not to have rejected the Prophetic Message of William Branham (Rev. 3:14). In this age they accepted the "signs" and "wonders" in the ministry of William Branham's but they absolutely rejected his Message. Therefore in this Laodicean Age the Church is "spit" out of the Mouth of God because they refused His council, given through William Branham, the Forerunner and Angel-Messenger to the Age.

Everyone is following someone - an Evangelist, a Pastor, a Bishop, an Overseer, a Bible Teacher, a Presbyter, a Priest, a Pope, a Church, themselves, their husbands, their wives, etc.. Who are you following? Is his/her "sign" a Scriptural "in season" sign? Is the "voice of the Sign" a Scriptural Voice, without compromise, confronting the conditions of the Age? Or are you following a "watered-down" modernistic charismatic Gospel, full of the world and worldliness? No disrespect meant to those listed below, but to make a point - let me ask: WHO or WHAT are you following?

Remember, the Bible, in Matthew 24:24 warns us that the 'true and the false' would be so much alike "that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect". But of course, the 'very elected' will not be deceived because they check all things, not by emotion or sensations, but by the Word. I'm not doubting the sincerity of many of these teachers, preachers or prophets, but, like Cain, offering an 'excellent' sacrifice, they're 'sincerely wrong'. O yes, Cain worshipped God too; but his problem was that he was too haughty to learn from his brother, Abel who had offered the 'more excellent' sacrifice. Just think! God REFUSED Cain's EXCELLENT Sacrifice - Why? Because it was contrary to the Will of God.

I say again, no disrespect is meant to those preachers noted in the above illustration. They are highly respected in the charismatic church world today. After hearing some of them preach I would have to say that many of them are "entertainers" and not preachers. I find the excessive joking and laughing which accompany much of their 'preaching' to be unbecoming to the Gospel. Others use, not mass Holy Ghost evangelism, but mass, fervent 'religious' hype and Psychology to influence and deceive the people. Everyone is following someone and depending on someone to lead them in the 'right way'. But lets take warning, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death" (Proverbs 14:12).

Bro. William Branham, referring to the 'hype' surrounding the 'healing' and 'evangelical' revival of the late 1940's and into the early 1960's, called it 'tommy-rot' and likened it to the ministry of Jannes and Jambres, who in Egypt, attempted to "impersonate" the Ministry of Moses. In all the 'religious confusion' that identifies this century, the Believer needs to make their 'calling' and 'election' sure, by the Word. Make sure that the 'ministry' or 'denominational - non-denominational church' you are following is following the True Christ and established in the present Truth.

Enough, yes, more than enough is presented in this Home Page to catch the attention of, and fully persuade the elected predestinated Seed of God that God has indeed fulfilled Malachi 4:5-6, Revelation 10:1-7, Luke 17:30 and many other Scriptures in ministry and message of William Branham. A forerunner indeed, like lightening out of the east shining even unto the west, indicating that the Coming of Jesus Christ to receive His Bride, is now upon us. This ministry and message points NOT to "a" son of man (prophet) but to "the" Son of Man, our Lord Jesus Christ - the God-Prophet. "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches". (Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29; 3:6, 13, 22).

"The hour is here, people.......I believe that this indicates the second coming of Jesus Christ ...Surely I would have some knowledge of what I'm speaking of, or God would never honor my prayer to do what He does. And you outside the kingdom, seek Christ as your refuge now, while it's time and while you have the opportunity."                                                                                           William Branham - Jan. 1950.

Five hundred walking into the river yonder, the first day the Angel of the Lord appeared visible to vindicate like He did on Mount Sinai, that I'd met Him. I walked into the river and hundreds singing that same song for the baptism. Here He comes descending, that same Pillar of Fire that you see the picture there, descending down right down here at the river, and said, "As John the Baptist was sent to forerun His first coming, message will forerun the second coming." O who will come and go with me, I am bound for the promised land.
                                                                                                             William Branham - August 02, 1964.

William Branham's Interest:

"Not for one moment do I bring a message to the people that they may follow me, or join my church, or start some fellowship and organization. I have never done that and will not do that now. I have no interest in those things...

But I do have an interest in the things of God and people, and if I can accomplish just one thing I will be satisfied. That one thing is to see established a true spiritual relationship between God and men, wherein men become new creations in Christ, filled with His Spirit and live according to His Word. I would invite, plead and warn all to hear His voice at this time, and yield your lives completely to Him, even as I trust in my heart that I have given my all to Him. God bless you, and may His coming rejoice your heart."
